We stayed a beautiful hotel (the Place De Armes) right by Jackson Square.
Did tons of walking and exploring during the day.
Went to the Marie Laveau museum
Rode the trolley (sorry!!! STREETCAR) through the Garden District. It was cool to see people starting to put up their Mardi Gras decorations.
Went on a National Parks Service tour of the river front. It was cold that morning but our tour guide was excellent! I would recommend this tour to anyone.
Ate and drank (or maybe it was the other way around?)
. . .and went for a night time Ghost Tour. Not that spooky but very informative. Supposedly, most people have "orbs" or abnormalities show up in the photos they take during the tour. . .we did not. Although, my friend Megan showed me pictures her brother took on the same tour and that had tons of orbs, so who knows.
Your pictures make me anxious for a trip to NOLA. Happy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! I love NOLA! I'm glad you two lovebirds had fun :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun! The garden tour particularly. As far as the those tour, we took one while we were staying at the Stanley a few years ago and, in my opinion, the orbs are just dust particles that show up when you use a flash. Either that or when we were installing our floors we had a whole lot of ghosts!
ReplyDeleteYou probably had floor ghosts! I hear they are common and only slightly dangerous....teeheeeee:)
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures! Happy late anniversary! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks:)
