365 Project: Week 48 & 49

We are almost to the end of the year....WOWZERS! The last few weeks, have been hectic, fun, and cold. According to the weather people this is the coldest start to December in 30 years!!!! Granted, Oklahoma has a tendency to overreact about the weather, still it has been cold compared to the last couple of years.
November 24
I got way behind on my prep for Alliday... specifically, bird production. All of this Sunday was spent sitting on the floor turning, stuffing and sewing birds. I did take a popcorn and cutie break.

November 25
At this point I was starting to get the bird making under control. I did have atrophied claw hands but. . .oh well.

November 26
Making my displays glittery for the holidays

November 27
I really love when cats tuck their paws under their body. It is just precious.

November 28
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
I am thankful for (in no particular order)
Jerod
My cats
My family
More specifically, my nieces and nephews- who are all creative, smart, and very much their own people.
My friends (many of who also happen to be my family)
Having things to laugh about
and kicking Jerod's ass a backgammon

November 29
We had a nice dinner with friends. I laughed so much that night and we got free queso because our waiter didn't know we had been put in his section.

November 30
Alliday Holiday Market! I had a fun and somewhat profitable day.

December 1
Some of my Christmas pretties. It makes me feel happy and nostalgic (in a good way) to put up our tree. Happiest Christmas Season to everyone!

December 2
There is something in the mist...

December 3
A Christmas Kitten if I have ever seen one.

December 4
We no longer have darts for the nerf gun but it still helps to keep Crispin from playing with the tree.
She thinks it's some kind of great toy and runs in to the living room to play when she hears us get it out of the drawer.

December 5
I got so cold this day that I wore my hood until I went to bed!

December 6
Jerod and I went for a lovely walk in the snow.

December 7
Can you beat a hand pie? I think not.
That poor little guy in the back got a bit overdone.

365 Project: Week 44 & 45

The year, the weeks, the days of 2013 continue to shoot by!
Oh... I accidentally posted Sunday the 27th on the last post so I am starting with Monday, October 28.

October 28
What better way to start of Halloween week than with our porch pumpkins?!?!?!
Wed didn't carve pumpkins this year so these cuties with stay out through whole fall season.

 October 29
Stormy skies and dark mornings. Since the time change it isn't quite as moody on my walks to work, although it is getting dark on my way home.

 October 30
Creepy, back lit, night time alley.

 October 31
HAPPY HALLOWEEN, friends!

 November 1
I went to Tulsa's 1st Friday Art Walk and Day of the Dead Festival with my lovely friend Megan. We had a great time.

 November 2
Sweet Keith loves to cuddle. Good thing I like it too.

 November 3
For the last few years I have volunteered with and an organization (Pambe Ghana) that hosts a fair trade pop up shop during November and December. I spent the day setting up the shop and was taken with the variety of nativities we have this year.

 November 4
There are officially lots of leaves on the ground. They are still in the pretty/charming/crisp phase.
I am enjoying fall this year.

 November 5
Sweet Keith was sentenced to life in prison!

 November 6
Beautiful prairie sunset and crescent moon.... I wish this picture turned out better.

 November 7
Good Morning, all! I hope your day was lovely.

 November 8
Behind the scenes at Mohawk Market.

November 9
It was chilly in the house and both cats thought it would be a good idea to watch a little TV and snuggle ... who am I to argue with my cats?

365 Project: Week 42 & 43

Realistically, I will just be posting every other week for the rest of the year I will still cover all of the days. But I seem to have gotten on a two week schedule. . . these things just happen sometimes.
I have been looking forward to the fall this year which is odd for me, I am usually more of a spring/ summer person but this year fall has been calling to me, so far it has been pretty and more overcast than usual (although it is supposed to be up in the high 70's low 80's this week so summer is hanging on as long as it can). I will say these dark mornings and early sunsets are making me sleepy! I need to work on getting my energy level back up, pronto!

 October 14
We WAY over planted on sweet potatoes this year and ended up with about 100 lbs!!!! Here are the two biggest we decided those are really edible. Needless to say a bunch of our friends are getting a surprise gift of sweet potatoes.

 October 15
Little man loves to roll around and beg for attention. I can't help but give it to him.

 October 15
Soup weather! I really like soup (and biscuits).

 October 16
Full Moon with clouds. My pictures of the moon never do it justice. It seems like this year has been a beautiful moon year.

 October 17
I couldn't sleep and ended up watching Law & Order re-runs. They finally got me to sleep.

October 18
That was the high that day!!!!! A huge change from the very warm falls we have had the last two years. I hear the Farmer's Almanac is predicting a very cold winter.
 October 19
Jerod and I could not stop laugh about this pose!!! Don't worry she wasn't stuck just hanging out.
 October 20
Moon set.
 October 21
Cool shadows on the side walk outside of work.

 October 22
It's been chilly enough that the cats are cuddling closer and closer to each other but not quite cold enough for them to do a lot of cuddling together. I think it is only a matter of time though.

 October 23
I have been teaching a teen knitting class. It is a small but fun group.

 October 24
Working on things.

 October 25
(Happy Birthday, Mom!!!!)
Waiting for the train to pass so I could finish my walk.
 October 26
The best "float" in the OKC Halloween Parade... It was the car from Ghostbusters.
I have loved this parade in years past. Sadly, this was not it's best year nor did it seem well attended. I am going to hope that it gets itself back on track.
 October 27
As cool as this fall has been the leaves have just started to change in Norman. I think it will be beautiful in all of the old, tree-lined neighborhoods in the next week or two.
